印度航空航班波音787客機，起飛後不到一分鐘墜毀，據印度當地居民表示，這架航班墜毀時撞上了當地的一家醫學院(The Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical college)的食堂，當時近午餐時間，位置也是該校醫學院本科生的宿舍。根據消息除了飛機上242人生死未卜外，學院宿舍至少有20多名學生受傷，急需O型陰性(-Ve)的血液，而飛機墜毀的現場仍在搶救清理中。
